Artistic collaborations between Müpa Budapest and the Munich Radio Orchestra have already delighted audiences with two Verdi rarities: I due Foscari in 2018 and another early Verdi opera, I Lombardi, which was performed in 2023 by an outstanding international cast of singers. On this occasion, chief conductor Ivan Repušić has chosen another gem, Simon Boccanegra.

A Platon Karataev első magyar nyelvű anyaga, a 2022-es Partért kiáltó lemez egy szintlépés volt a zenekar számára: az album az Artisjus összesítése szerint a kritikusok egyik kedvenc lemeze volt, emellett Fonogram-díjjal is jutalmazta a szakma, a dalszövegek pedig sok gimnáziumban irodalomból érettségi tétellé váltak. Idén májusig kellett várni a folytatásra – megjelent a Napkötöző, mely továbbra is a legszemélyesebben szól a legegyetemesebb kérdésekről, és bár az előző lemezhez hasonlóan újfent a víz, a hegy és az erdő szemével néz az emberre, ezúttal a központi elemmé a tűz vált, így a Nap körül keringenek a dalok.

From Joseph Haydn, we will hear the Symphony No. 87 in A major, the Notturno No. 5 in C major, the “Clock” symphony and the Violin Concerto No. 4 in G major.

Alongside established performers, countless young artists have been introduced in recent years to dazzle the jury and captivate audiences. Now, for this special occasion, they return as a one-of-a-kind big band, like members of a large family.
