Celebrate the New Year in a special and authentic way! Budapest shows its class on the 31st December with this unique program combination. The event is compiled of a delicious 5 course gala dinner with a carefully selected menu for the occasion. The autenthic New Year's Eve Hungarian Folklore Show is performed by the members of one of the famous Hungarian folk ensemble. The 3 pair of dancers and the 6 musicians give you the viewer a broad insight into Hungarian music, dance and costume heritage. The night is complete with a splendid standing reception in ballroom atmosphere for a multi-cultural audience. The reception includes open bar with unlimited drink consumption and traditional Hungarian New Year's dinner.
The program takes place in one of Budapest Downtown's most distinguished theatre buildings, in the Danube Palace. The former casino of Lipótváros was built between 1883 and 1885, in beautiful Neo-Baroque style by the plans of Vilmos Freund. At that time it was known as the aristocratic club for entertainment not a casino in terms of gambling. Until the beginning of World War II the Palace served as the cultural hub of Budapest supported by several young artists such as Bartók, Kodály and Dvorák who performed in its first class concert hall.
Our special New Year's Eve Program combines a delicious, exclusive Gala Dinner with our magnificent Folklore Program and a glorious ballroom party to make your New Year's Eve an unforgettable experience. As program starter, we would like to invite you to our Gala Dinner beginning at 18:30.
Do not worry about table reservations for New Year's Eve. Enjoy a full service Gala Dinner in the beautiful Széchényi Hall! The Gala Dinner features a 5 course meal, selected and prepared exclusively for this event. There are cold and warm appetizers, soup, main course and dessert; on top of that, a different glass of premium wine is served for each course from a carefully selected assortment.
22:00- Hungarian Folklore Show
The Hungarian Folklore Show starts at 22:00 in the Széchényi Hall, preparing New Year's celebration.
There is no better way to greet the coming year than having a look in to an other culture! In preparation for the New Year's celebration, our dancers and musicians give the viewer a broad insight into Hungarian culture serving as confirmation to the fact that music and dance is inseparable. The program includes performing dances, songs and costumes from every part of the country by professional artists. In addition to all, we took the opportunity to include some unique elements into the program; well-known evergreens on a traditional Hungarian folk instrument, the cimbalom, and Hungarian folk song adaptation performed by talented gypsy band.

Clink glasses and celebrate after midnight on our standing reception. Celebrate the New Year in ballroom atmosphere with friends, family, loved ones, or join the great multicultural crowd. Having a great time together, exchanging stories and experiences with fellow travellers is a great way to set a delightful mood, and start a coming year, full of promises. Let loose and dance the night away for tunes of the 90’s on a themed party after the midnight toast. The amazing atmosphere is guaranteed by a talented local DJ. There will be no empty plate or glass on our all-inclusive standing reception. The open bar features champagne, multiple wine options soft drinks and much more. Everything that's necessary for a great party.
