Das Theaterstück „Play Strindberg“ kam 1969 in Basel zur Uraufführung und war sofort ein Renner. Dürrenmatt hat eine bürgerliche Ehetragödie zur Komödie gemacht.
In unserer Inszenierung wird Dürrenmatts Komödie zu einer bitterbösen, witzigen Groteske. Schlag, Gegenschlag, Tiefschlag. Ein bizarres Messerwerfen mit Worten genau dahin, wo's am meisten weh tut.

Artistic director and director-choreographer Balázs Vincze is very familiar with the tastes of dance aficionados partial to the traditions of bourgeois theatre and is superb at adapting familiar and popular literary classics to the dance stage.
