A big band founded in 1986, the Orchestre National de Jazz is one of the most important jazz laboratories in France, which has released an album almost every year for the past three decades. Since 2014, the leader has been guitarist and composer Olivier Benoit. True to the spirit of his entire career, as a big band leader he represents the freedom of jazz, the energies of rock, the culture of form that marks classical music, and the boldness of experimental music.

The EUROPA project is about Benoit creating portraits of cities to discover the terrain of new music in the continent. Following “EUROPA Paris”, the next station was Berlin, an essential symbol of 20th-century history.
