Beside the singer's name Emese, the group's name contains the words jam and mese (tale), which is the metaphorfor the irmagical, fable like music and lyrics. Jamals or efers to their musical attitude, which is always changing, like a constant metamorphosis in between jazz, folk, and other musical styles. For example they adapt songs from contemporary poems or paraphrase Emese’s favourite soul-jazzartist, Lizz Wright’s songs.  more
