Marius von Mayenburg az ezredforduló német színházának fenegyereke. A
berlini Schaubühne dramaturgja, háziszerzője és rendezője, darabjait
egész Európában játsszák a színházi műhelyek. Stílusát a reális és
szürreális elemek összekeveredése, az irónia és a fekete humor jellemzi.
A hideg gyermek című darabja a Poligám kávézóban indul, ahol nyolc,
egymás számára többé-kevésbé ismeretlen ember sorsa gubancolódik össze.
Párkapcsolatok, generációs konfliktusok sztereotípiái jelennek meg az
idősíkokat szellemesen váltogató vígjátékban, mely tartalmát és formáját
tekintve is a következő évad legmerészebb vállalása. Kimondhatjuk-e
férjünk hamvai fölött, hogy az elhunyt egy szar alak volt? Megfelelő
eszköz egy disznóölő kés kapcsolati problémáink megoldására? Tényleg
olyan elvetemült a női mosdóban tevékenykedő exhibicionista? És ki van a
babakocsiban?
