This two-part concert will present the finest and most diverse aspects of the Belgian jazz scene. The Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Belgian's leading big band, will be uniting its powers with the superb saxophonist Philip Catherine, outstanding guitarist Bert Joris and the distinctive singer David Linx to wow the audience as they perform a programme compiled especially for the Bridging Europe festival.

The famous symphony orchestra "Lords of the Sound" presents the musical program "The Music of Hans Zimmer", which encompasses the most famous compositions of the musical genius of our time, Hans Zimmer!

The legendary American jazz drummer Brian Blade (Chick Corea, Joshua Redman, Bill Frisell) is both a familiar face in Hungary and also a highly sought-after performer in pop circles, having played with many of the greats, including Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan. Blade has performed in Hungary on many occasions, including in a trio alongside Norah Jones.

Ádám Fischer's career as a conductor, which began more than half a century ago, is linked to his homeland in many ways: the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Hungarian State Opera, Müpa Budapest and the Austro-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra are all important chapters in his work.

Kelemen Barnabás évtizedek óta a magyar és a nemzetközi zeneélet ünnepelt művésze, aki szólistaként és kamaramuzsikusként világszerte sikereket arat. Számos verseny győztese, játékát díjnyertes hanglemezek - köztük a Bartók Új Sorozat CD-i - örökítették meg.

A kubai mulatók forró, szivarfüstös éjszakáinak sztárja, a kubai nép elsőszámú kedvence, a HABANA SOCIAL CLUB zenekar a 2024-es világkörüli utolsó turnéjára kiegészült a világhírű Tropicana Club szólótáncosaival és így egy különleges műsorral várja mindazokat, akik egy igazi karibi élményre vágynak.

The world-renowned composer/conductor who passed away recently at the age of 80 after being awarded the Kossuth Grand Prize this year, once said that "jazz is a fundamental element for me”. At this concert in memory of his life and work, in addition to an early piece of electronic music and a late choral work, we will hear compositions of his that are closely linked to the sounds of jazz and improv performed by prominent artists from the Hungarian jazz scene.

A zenekar eddigi fennállása alatt kb. 6200 koncertet adott külföldön és idehaza, 2024-ben a Margitszigeti Szabadtéri Színpadon ünnepli az 1979-ben indult és 45 éve tartó sikertörténetét.

A nibelung gyűrűjében beteljesedő gigantikus színházi előadás a Rajna hűvös mélyén kezdődött, a folyó kincsét őrző sellők játékával, s az őket csalódottan bámuló Alberich, a nibelung hasztalan vágyakozásával. A szánalmasan csúf és a vízben esetlenül mozgó lény elkeseredésében könnyű prédájává vált a világ feletti uralom vonzásának, és a szerelmet fennhangon elátkozva elrabolta a Rajna kincsét.

A hangverseny súlypontját Georg Friedrich Handel két reprezentatív egyházzenei műve alkotja.

A darab egy különleges és Magyarországon egyedülálló feldolgozásban viszi színpadra Petőfi Sándor életének egy meghatározó időszakát.

2022 után ismét a Várkert Bazárban koncertezik a nyolcvanas évek kultikus csapata, az Európa Kiadó. Annak idején villámgyorsan váltak a hazai alternatív rockzenei élet meghatározó együttesévé és kisebb-nagyobb megszakításokkal a kilencvenes évek középig működött a zenekar.
