Artistic director and director-choreographer Balázs Vincze is very familiar with the tastes of dance aficionados partial to the traditions of bourgeois theatre and is superb at adapting familiar and popular literary classics to the dance stage. His wonderful sense of proportion enables audiences to follow plots in the language of dance. His contemporary choreographies built on classical foundations are unique, spectacular and of a high professional calibre without losing sight of the need to please the audience.

Pursuing happiness, love and affection through countless adventures across this great wide world, but still eventually finding a final peace in the arms of his beloved, Peer Gynt is one of the most complex characters in 19th-century drama. The challenges of staging and absorbing the play are always exceptional tests of strength for the director and the audience.

THE PYGMALION EFFECT
Ballet in two acts

The world premiere of László Dubrovay's dance drama Faust, the Damned took place at Müpa Budapest in 2016, as part of the Budapest Spring Festival. This large-scale production inspired by Goethe's masterpiece debuted on the main stage of the National Theatre of Pécs in the 2023/24 season, and will run again in 2024 at Müpa Budapest's Festival Theatre.

Bayadere is a ballet imbued with an idealized exoticism both in the melodramatic plot and in the overall aesthetics. But he expresses - in his most famous scene The Kingdom of Shadows - a vision that goes beyond the context and that opens up to a landscape of pure movement, abstract and lucid in its formal simplicity.

The CUBAN ECLECTICO programme showcases a cross-section dance and the Cuban way of life.

This production of the FrenÁk Company features adynamic team, the members of a new generation. The young, creative dancers draw on the energies of their colourful cultural and linguistic differences as they bring a new creative approach to FrenÁk’s concept. It is a fusion of the arts, a multimedia work with two contrasting yet complementary parts that reflect on the contradictions of our times.

Classical ballet in three acts

A Színek Világa / Koloricko Luma / World of Colors előadás a Jászság Népi Együttes és a Khamoro Táncszínház autentikus cigány folklór zenére, táncra, énekre épülő táncos koncertje.

A Székely gate is a symbol of ancient power, faith, hope, belonging to God, a channel of communication between heaven and earth. Its three posts represent the unity of body, soul and spirit, and its carvings are symbols that render protection, grace and blessing.

‘Concordia’ by Forte Company and Dador Project Band is a choreography based on music by classical composers from the Baroque period, such as Francesco Cavalli, Tarquinio Merula, Claudio Monteverdi and Giovanni Battista Fontana. Accompanied by a live orchestra and a singer, the dance performance consists of grotesque and lyrical duets set to 12 pieces of music. It combines dance, live music and prose with passionate dialogues from Jean Anouilh’s play ‘Eurydice'.

2014-ben a Nemzeti Táncszínházban három komplex táncszínházi nevelési előadás valósult meg. (Horda2, 2014; Igaz Történet Alapján, 2016; Talpuk alatt, 2018). Mind a három előadás az ún. DTIE /dance theatre in education/ alapmódszertanát felhasználva alakította ki a foglalkozásokat, különböző korosztályok számára. Az előadásokra érkezők nemcsak nézői, de résztvevői és alakítói is az egyes előadásoknak.
A jubileum alkalmából a Talpuk alatt című interaktív előadásra, ezúttal a felnőtt közönséget várjuk.

Zs. Vincze Zsuzsa koreográfus több évtizedes alkotó munkájának formanyelve a magyar folklór, az eredeti néptánc, amely szűnni nem akaró inspirációt jelent az idén Kossuth-díjjal kitüntetett művész számára. Az egy egész életutat összegző műsorban megannyi ihlető érzelemre komponált tematikus koreográfiák és a magyar néphagyomány iránti szenvedélyről tanúskodó előadásrészletek kerülnek bemutatásra.

1983 óta, a klasszikus balett óriásának tartott Jean-Georges Noverre születésnapján, április 29-én ünnepli a világ „A Tánc Világnapját”.

A Lord of the Dance sikersorozata 2024-ben is folytatódik! Az ír rendező és sokszoros nemzetközi díjnyertes táncművész, Michael Flatley által koreografált előadás a jövő évi európai turné keretében Magyarországon is látható 2024. május 24-én a budapesti MVM Dome-ban!

Our new performance is based on Lois Lowry’s novel The Giver, set in a society which at first appears to be utopian, where everything seems to be going perfectly well. Free of injustice, crime, violence and hunger, this is a society where people can live in harmony.

Compared to Swan Lake, the well-known version of the classical ballet, I wished to rephrase the piece from another aspect, in a different light. In my interpretation, Siegfried is a young man with a split mind, who is being held captive by the traumas of his childhood as a result of his relationship with his mother.

Two guys and a woman have just returned fromthe future, from planet 142, just to revive the old days: disco, partying, flirting, success. They want to get back in action again. Two ridiculous fools and a cool woman who keep rolling on the floor of a narrow room in the fog made with a borrowed smoke machine, thinking that this is the stage leading to fame.

A Kárpát-medence paraszti kultúrái – a maguk módján – szüntelen esztétikai válaszokat kerestek az őket egyéni vagy közösségi szinten foglalkoztató nagy kérdésekre. Gyakran drámaian vagy komikusan, máskor hittel telítve vagy jóleső fatalizmussal, valóságos vagy szürreális képekben fogalmaztak veszteségről, sorsszerűségről, szerelemről, halálról egyaránt.

A darab egy felvonásban (60 percben) mesél az óvodás és az alsós korosztálynak, de valójában akár 2-100 évig élvezhető.
A mese mottója és egyben az előadás utolsóként elhangzó mondata: "Ne feledjétek, a belső szépség minden külsőségnél ragyogóbb, és többet ér minden kincsnél!"
