Lukács Miklós: A Cimbiózis világa / Jazzműhely

Lukács Miklós: A Cimbiózis világa / Jazzműhely

His virtuoso playing style and constant experimentation have helped him to discover unknown sounds. Miklós skilfully adapts to the most varied of music styles whilst always ensuring his listeners remain utterly captivated. Jazz is just as much of an inspiration for him as classical and contemporary music, and it is almost impossible to say which genre of music is most dominant in his compositions.
When discussing Cimbiózis, the trio he founded in 2013 with Györggy Orbán and István Baló, Miklos has commented that, 'I set up the trio so we could perform like they do in chamber music, where each individual musician has an equal role. That's one of the reasons why I chose the name Miklós Lukács Trio - Cimbiózis (Symbiosis), because the symbiosis between us is absolutely key. For this concert, before the trio take to the podium with their characteristic free-spirited, improvisational music, they will present material from the group's third album with the help of two partners from the world of classical music, the clarinet player Csaba Klenyán and the bassoonist Attila Jankó. Their new album, Lux et umbra - Light and Shadow - seeks to assess the connecting points of seemingly contradictory natural phenomena, the brotherhood that exists between us and the impact this has on our lives.

Our offer

Artistic director and director-choreographer Balázs Vincze is very familiar with the tastes of dance aficionados partial to the traditions of bourgeois theatre and is superb at adapting familiar and popular literary classics to the dance stage. His wonderful sense of proportion enables audiences to follow plots in the language of dance. His contemporary choreographies built on classical foundations are unique, spectacular and of a high professional calibre without losing sight of the need to please the audience.
