On this special evening, the stage will be graced by the greatest of the great, as well as the most promising young performers from both the ballet and the opera. And we will be handing out decorations too as we reveal who will take charge next season of the three Chamber Singer positions and of the sole Étoile Award as well as the Chamber Artist of the Opera award for a musician of the orchestra. The audience will be populated with artists and employees of the Opera together with the Opera’s special guests. A collection will be made by employees of Hungarian Interchurch Aid to assist disaster victims in Hungary. After having bid farewell to the Opera House at our previous year's gala night, we will find the newly modernised building ready to host the next gala.
