The Fitos Dezső Dance Company is careful to regularly stage dance theatre performances that consider the authentic transmission of folklore and the cultures of various historical Hungarian regions as their primary goal. Transylvania Express is a selection of Transylvanian dances and music. With this performance, we want to convey the message that traditional culture lives on in all of us who believe in the value of keeping tradition alive—because tradition defines our future!

Confinement and isolation, freedom and endlessness. FrenÁk’s emotionally charged choreographic structures use dynamic forms of movement to gain visibility and captivate the audience. The performance moves on the borderline between harsh reality and imaginary visions, where listening to our inner voices demands an unconscious balancing act on the edge of madness.

There can hardly be imagined in our time a work that conveys a more important message to humanity, as it debates the possible fate of the earth, about threats to the natural environment than Götterdämmerung does. Perhaps there is still time for us to return the ring to the Rhinemaidens.

A társulat Bernarda Ballada című ÚJ előadása elsősorban a tánc nyelvén beszél. A dráma részleteiből és a szerző egyes költeményeiből álló szöveg és a folklórból merítkező zenei világ segítségével a mozgás, a tánc által idézi meg a lorcai költőiséget és érzelmi telítettséget, a szenvedély elsöprő erejét.
