The Notre-Dame de Paris. Then the Coronavirus, and Ukraine again – this time from a different point of view. Black Lives Matter, demonstrations at Minsk, abortion laws in Poland, freeSZFE, „family is family”, teacher strikes in Hungary. In the summer of ’22 South-Europe was on fire. At the moment the whole world is on fire.
A great fire eats up everything what comes in its way. A revolution results damages. We only witness and endure a fire, but we are active participants of a revolution. In order to change, we have to rethink the old structures. To have a tabula rasa, first we have to put everything on fire.
The performance examines the duality of devastation and reconstrucion on a new language, which merges contemporary dance with puppet theatre.
