Szécsi Pál-emlékkoncert (80 perc egy részben)

The singer, songwriter and producer Zsófia Szigeti released her first track in 2020 under the name of Solére, and quickly became a popular performer of contemporary Hungarian pop music. Her melodic, electronic pop music also found its way to radio, and her initial hits were followed by a 16-track debut album in 2022, IMA.

The duo of singer and guitarist Soma Nóvé, well-known in Hungary from the bands Middlemist Red and Mordái, and Dániel Riederauer, an electronics and bass guitar player, first performed as Samurai Drive in 2019.

It has become something of a tradition to kick off the new Budapest Festival Orchestra season with an opera. Iván Fischer selects the most diverse array of pieces, ranging from Mozart to Monteverdi to Britten, and never fails to put his signature twist on them.

A darab Miklós és Fanni képzeletbeli dialógja lenne, a harmadik ’’szereplő’’ pedig maga a 20. század. Ehhez minden fellelhető forrást elhasználnánk, de kiinduló pontunk kettejük naplója, valamint Radnóti költői életműve lennének.

Lugosi Ali (klarinét), Szüts Apor (zongora), Hornyák Balázs (fuvola), Duka Vilmos (nagybőgő), Mohai Bálint (fagott) és Tabányi Antal (hegedű) csillogtatja meg tehetségét.

The program presents three of the highest peaks of the string orchestra literature (hence the title of the concert). Grieg speaks the musical language of the 19th century, Britten and Bartók of the 20th. Grieg's work evokes the style and mood of an era long passed, while Britten dresses his own childhood genius in 'adult clothes’; his work is sweet and joyful. Bartók's Divertimento (although the title means 'entertainment') is a heartbreaking testament of the greatest tragedy of the 20th century, the outbreak of the Second World War.

Szűcs Máté a genfi zeneakadémia brácsaprofesszora, aki emellett rendszeres szólózik és kamarazenél világszerte. Világzenét, klezmert, improvizációt és közel-keleti zenét játszó együttesekkel is színpadra lép.
