József Balázs pianist is the leader of the East Gipsy Band, which has been a smash hit at the legendary Blue Note in New York and the Detroit Jazz Festival. Since the formation of the Elemér Balázs Group, he has been the band's other main driving force alongside his brother, making his first recording debut with them, and has been involved as an arranger and songwriter on all of the band's subsequent albums.

This evening will feature popular American jazz standards, with Latin bossa novas and some groovy arrangements.

Ármin Jámbor is a young, up-and-coming saxophonist with a sophisticated musical personality despite his age. This is evident not only in his virtuoso playing, but also in his compositions.

The Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Belgian's leading big band, will be uniting its powers with the superb saxophonist Philip Catherine, outstanding guitarist Bert Joris and the distinctive singer David Linx to wow the audience as they perform a programme compiled especially for the Bridging Europe festival.
