Klezmer denotes a state of mind expressed in a musical style. The expression is of Aramaic origin and its meaning can be translated as: “one is transformed into song”. Characteristic of Jewish folk music are the beauty of the melodies, the individuality of the performing style, the unusual ornamentation of the melodies and their particular atmosphere – sometimes bitter, often humorous, jokey or ironic. Jewish instrumental musicians in villages in the countryside were extremely playful, but also had a propensity for contemplation and improvisation. The Budapest Klezmer Band have existed for 25 years and their performances make traditional Jewish music into a remarkable experience. They play musical arrangements adapted by the founder and leader of the group, Ferenc Jávori “Fegya”, who comes from Munkács. These melodies come from territories in East Central Europe where Jewish musical culture once blossomed. The Budapest Klezmer Band is wellknown and much in demand in both Europe and America. In their 25 year career, they have travelled round almost the whole world and have performed in numerous, famous concert venues.
The band and its work is also appreciated at home. Ferenc Jávori “Fegya”, composer, performer, artist of merit, founder and leader of the Budapest Klezmer Band, was awarded the Kossuth prize “in recognition of his outstanding career as composer and performer”.
Dóra was born into an artistic family, so it is no surprise that she was attracted to the stage from a young age. She was already acting while still at school. She has been working at the Operette Theatre since 2001. As for her work in the theatre, it is almost impossible to list all the parts whe has played. She has acted among other productions, in The Wizard of Oz, Be Good until Death, Romeo and Juliette, The Beggars’ Opera, Rebecca, West Side Story, The Beauty and the Beast, Fortune’s Fools and My Fair Lady. She has published many successful records. In recent years with her numerous solo concerts, her resounding success in the theatre and in light music, Dóra Szinetár has reached the stage that nobody needs to be told who she is.
Az Anconai szerelmesek kacagtatóan fordulatos, kedvesen pikáns, szellemes, zenés összekacsintás a hetvenes évek olasz slágereivel. Szerelem, slágerek, tánc, gegek, csipetnyi erotika, poénok, kacagás, happy end.
