Established over two decades ago, Quatuor Habanera is a chamber formation open towards the most diverse stylistic trends, representing contemporary music with the same dedication as improvisation-based music or world music. The members of the band graduated at the Paris Conservatoire, and went on to excel at prestigious competitions of chamber music very soon.

In addition to such greats of 20th-century avant-garde as Ligeti, Xenakis and Donatoni, they often play the arrangements of works from the Classical and Romantic period, including the works of Grieg, Glazunov and Dvořák. In the 2015/2016 concert season, Quatuor Habanera perform in the United States, Japan, Italy and Germany.
