We warmly invite you to an intellectual journey exploring the art-historically significant photographic series of Luca Missoni.
During the conversation, we will examine how scientific observation can transform into abstract art, and how the renowned Missoni heritage subtly weaves itself into images of outer space.
Topics of the roundtable include:
How does more than two decades of almost scientific observation of the Moon become a deeply personal artistic documentation?
Is there a parallel between the phases of the Moon and the rhythmic patterns of Missoni textiles? How does the creative environment shaped by his parents and his background in knitwear design influence his visual compositions?
What methods give rise to the painterly color palette visible in the images? Is it the result of deliberate scientific process, or a projection of emotions behind the lens?
