The citizens of Nazi Germany are living quietly in their homes. They have lunch, listen to the radio, talk, make phone calls. Meanwhile politics are slowly creeping into their lives. The citizens slowly change, certain aspects of their personalities become stronger, others disappear. And we all know what horrible things this could lead to.
Luckily enough we have left the horrors of dictatorship behind us. We’ve learned our lesson. No more manipulation, corruption, no more propaganda, no censorship, and all power is not held by a single party. Which is why the play is not really about our current circumstances at all. We’re just staging it out of historical curiosity.
