Styles meet under the inspiration of the classics: this was the motto of the young artists as they set about to create the programme of the concert. What they want to prove is that truly perfect classical values can become even more compelling in new guises. Over and above the works of immortal composers, they drew inspiration and material from the work of the engineers of the Porsche Classic models – the passion that helps them to enhance the perfection of perfect products.

The initiative is unique, the production focuses on change and transformation. “Perfection” refers to the essential classics heard at the concert, while “evolution” indicates the contemporary approach.

A work each by J. S. Bach, Liszt, Bartók, Satie, Shostakovich and others will be performed. First the piano arrangement of the original work will be performed, then its classical jazz paraphrase, and finally a reflection with a modern instrumentation, spiced up with contemporary electronica. The three-part units of the concert fuse into large, continuous compositions.
