She has won awards at many festivals, has a three-and-a-half octave vocal range and a unique delivery and style of movement. Magdi Bódy's career began in the 1970s. From 1981, she lived in Canada and the United States for 15 years, first teaching at the Ottawa Conservatory of Music before running her own singing school in Toronto and New York in the 1990s. During that time, she also performed in prestigious concert halls in Toronto, Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo, Moscow and Vienna.
