About Celtic Woman

Since its 2005 debut, global musical sensation Celtic Woman celebrates Ireland's rich musical and cultural heritage, while continuing its remarkable 12-year-legacy of introducing some of Ireland's most talented singers and musicians onto the world stage.

Celtic Woman has undertaken a number of world tours, largely across the U.S. and Europe, and has toured Australia, China, Japan, South Africa, and many other places. They have played for three different US Presidents (Clinton, Bush & Obama), as well as a special performance at the Pentagon in Washington.

Celtic Woman is comprised of four young Irish women—dynamic vocalists Susan McFadden, Mairéad Carlin and Éabha McMahon and the group's newest member, gifted violinist Tara McNeill—whose performing skills bring centuries of musical and cultural tradition to life.

Máiréad Carlin Born in Derry, in the north of Ireland, Mairead Carlin’s life has been immersed in music since her early days.  She has finished her studies at Trinity College of Music in London.Mairead has performed at several concerts of high prestige, among others she sang for the President of Ireland. She has toured the UK and Ireland with legendary American singer-songwriter Don McLean, including a sellout concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Susan McFadden Born in Dublin, Susan McFadden became a star at the age of 11 in the title role of Annie at the Olympia Theater in Dublin. She later went on to tour in Ireland and the United States with Irish entertainers such as Tony Kenny, June Rogers and Noel V Ginnity. In 2006 Susan moved from Dublin to London in pursuit of her lifelong ambition to perform in the West End.

Éabha McMahon began her singing career at 9 years of age, then she went on to win the under-18 All Ireland Oireachtais final at the age of 15. Éabha is a fluent Irish speaker and was brought up singing and speaking Irish at home in Dublin.  Finishing her studies she went on tour to Holland and Germany, as well as singing in venues such as the National Concert Hall, Dublin Castle, and Kilmainham Jail. Éabha is delighted to begin this new journey and she is very proud to be representing her Irish roots with Celtic Woman.

Tara McNeill is a violinist, singer and harpist from Antrim, Ireland.  In August 2016 Tara became the newest member of the Irish Music Sensation 'Celtic Woman'. Tara graduated with First class honours in the BA in Music Performance (violin) at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Orchestral tours have taken Tara throughout Europe, China, Japan, Korea and America performing in venues such as Carnegie hall, New York, Oriental Arts Centre, Shanghai, and she is the winner of severalprestigious music awards.

Celtic Woman is a living legend — they draw you into Ireland’s culture, and share a heritage that is every bit as enchanting as the women themselves.
